Overview

Discord Conquest is brought to you by Intergalactic Play, creators of Scribe and the Play Arcade. It’s our latest game experience which is directly integrated with Scribe! So you and your PFP NFT get XP while playing!

In Discord Conquest, players in any Discord Server join forces on a Battlefield to defeat roaming bosses. LootShop Weapons are used, Superpasses provide the expected benefits, and Multipasses provide ongoing special perks and tweaks.

Unlike many popular Discord games with auto-battle or pre-destined outcomes, Discord Conquest is FULLY INTERACTIVE.

As a Web3 enabled game, it gives players the opportunity to EARN 24/7. Read how!

In a Boss Battle, a random NFT of Level 75+ is chosen from the Scribe Community from any user who holds a Scribe MultiPass. Your LootShop weapon might be especially good at hitting and/or dealing damage to that particular community**! The Boss NFT is powerful, and will gain XP and Levels while roaming Discord Servers while you sleep :)

Every battle, regardless of Game Mode, is fought on a player-owned Battlefield NFT. These gain XP and Levels just like players and weapons do, and can unlock new play options**.

Battlefields will also host shops** where players can grab useful single-use items for the battle like potions, ammo, Battle Tweaks which turn the tide of the game. Battlefield holders and Bosses are both eligible to receive revenue share when players buy Shop items while on their Battlefield or battling their Boss. This will be done via smart contract with instant payouts.**

Battling, healing others, discovering and casting spells, using roguish skills like Backstab, Lockpick, Steal, looting chests, and collecting XP, Levels, Credits, NFTs is the thrill of Conquest. It is unlike any Discord Game created, and is the first such game to directly incorporate cross-chain NFTs.

A battle can be played with up to 45 players and the matches go FAST! It’s not uncommon for a gang of friends to play 10-20 in a row for a few hours.

Cross-chain Game?

Yes! If your Discord PFP matches an NFT you own, it gets XP and will level up. Currently on the Scribe platform, we support ETH, Cronos, AVAX, Polygon, Solana NFTs, with Kadena and Flow up next for integration.

Launching the Game

Once the Scribe Discord Bot is invited to your server and given proper permissions, it takes a simple command to launch, and it has a couple options:

  • Challenge can be used to crank up the challenge rating of the boss, which affects his health and damage and special attacks. If no rating is chosen, the game will use a random 1-5 number.

  • Voicechannel is used to pick a Discord Voice Channel to play game music and sounds in.

  • Gametype is used to choose the type of game to launch, Boss Battle, PVP, Group PVP, Team v Team, Paid Tournament, or Server v Server. Currently only Boss Battle is available.

This command enables you can launch Conquest:Battlefields automatically, every X minutes, where X is the interval you choose between unplayed matches, from 1 to 60 minutes! Community members interact with the emojis under the launch post so they can play whenever they like, without the need for a mod to launch every game!

Game Modes

Several game modes for Conquest are planned:

  • Boss Battle (current): Player-owned NFTs are summoned in battles and fought by groups from 1-45 players

  • PVP: Players challenge each other in private or public duels, either for competition' sake, or for a prize purse (credits or tokens)

  • Group PVP: Free for all with onscreen positioning and strategy

  • Team v Team: 2 Sides battle it out, with multiple players on each team and ranks for front line, mid, and rear guard

  • Server v Server: 2 Discords battle it out on their home turf without leaving their own Discords

  • Paid Tournament: Players enter a tournament and win purse for placing high in the tournament standings

  • Global PVE: A massive and powerful boss is fought by many servers at the same time

  • Story Mode: Battlefield owners create their own stories which unfold as the players progress in brief play sessions

Game Launch Prep Time

When the game first launches, there is a 30-60 second prep time which counts down. This is a great time to go equip a weapon, armor, etc. You will see the element of the battlefield (if present) but no information about the Boss you will face just yet.

If you decide you need a new LootShop weapon, Superpass, or Multipass for the battle, you can hit the Shop button to be taken to the Scribe mint pages.

Equipping Items

Hit the Equip button on the main game window to launch a private “Equip” screen. The Equip Screen will show you your equipped item and give you dropdowns to pick new items to equip.

Dropdown are organized by weapon type and Element, so you can quickly find weapons you’d find most useful in this battle.

To finalize your selection, hit the blue Equip button. To go buy a new LootShop weapon or try to trade for one, hit the Shop button.

LootShop Items

LootShop Series 1 Weapons on Poly and ETH are supported in Discord Conquest. These are 30,000 Axes, Swords, and Daggers with a wide variety of Elemental Bonuses and Enchantments. They’re very inexpensive at 2 MATIC.

Armor collection will drop next, along with the Staffs, Wands, and Bows collection.

Each item can have an Element on it (Fire, Ice, Chaos, Acid, Death, Holy, Shadow, etc). If you are able to match the Element of your weapon to the Element on the Battlefield, you will see a dramatic increase in damage. Other enchantments affect your chance to hit, weapon speed, chance to do critical damage, etc. On Armor, the elements will help DEFEND against that type of elemental damage.

For more information on LootShop items, stats, and abilities, see here!

Fighting the Battle

After the match has begun, you will be playing a turn-based battle. Each turn has a specific duration somewhere under 10 seconds long. The countdown timer shows how much time is left in the turn. When the timer hits 0, the round results are finalized, and a new round begins. The Boss USUALLY attacks at the end of every round, but not always, and he may attack several times during the round as well.

At the end of the round, the game will update with the new game state showing current health, etc. You may die during the round (or be healed), but you will not see it on the game screen until the round is finalized.

Luckily, there is a live update area which does update every second, right underneath the Turn countdown timer. This shows you live results of player actions being taken during the round.

Live Stats Screen

Of course you can also keep an eye on the Live Stats thread which is created when the game launches. This is a handy way to see all the game data as it is flowing, and allow you to fine-tune your item and weapon selection.

Actions in Battle

You can perform several actions in battle. The most common actions are Attack, Heal, Equip. The Action button will bring up a screen which allows you to change your primary target and perform some other actions as well.

You can perform the number of actions equivalent to your Speed. Speed is affected by Superpass and some MultiPass Guild Traits. Factoring in your weapon speed, and you could, for example, perform up to 6 attacks per round, or heal and attack a couple times per round. It’s dependent on your total speed and the action time of the actions you want to take.

If all you need to do is attack, just hit the button once, and all of your attacks will take place at once.

For a brief list of the current actions:

  • Attack: Attack the current target with your current weapon.

  • Heal: Heal the current target.

  • Steal: Attempt to steal from your current target. Stealing could count as XP, get you Credits, items, etc.

  • BackStab: If you’ve been sneaky, you can try to BackStab the current target which will do massive extra damage with a greatly increased chance of Critical Damage.

  • Cast: Lets you try to perform a feat of magic for powerful results!

  • Daze: Try to distract the opponent.**

More actions will be added to the game as time goes on.

Note: All actions are affected by Superpass Traits and MultiPass (via the Guild trait).

Casting Spells

In Discord Conquest, you don’t just mash a button to cast a spell. Casting a Spell is a dangerous operation performed in the heat of battle, and must be done carefully.

After you choose a Target and hit the Cast button, you will see the following screen:

In this entry box you will carefully type the phrases needed to perform your action. You might choose to summon a Guardian to attack your target, or the 3 to 4 words for a powerful enchantment. When you do, and hit Submit, you will see something that looks like this:

If the action is successful, the results will take place immediately.

To collect and learn the power words for spells, you must find them through gameplay or collection. Once you find them, you are able to learn them and use them in-game in combinations which will dazzle your opponents.

Discord Conquest will have hundreds of spells and special actions that can be taken.

To cast spells, you must own a focus item such as a Superpass (a Metaverse Artifact), a Wand, or a Staff (coming in a future collection). You are able to case spells as high as the Quality level or Diamond Level of the item.

Battle Completion

When the Boss (or your opponent or opposing team) is at 0 health, or all the players have sadly been defeated, the match is over. At that point in time you will see an End Battle Screen which may look like this:

You will be able to click on the Battle Report button to get a web page with the entire battle information on it, players who participated, weapons and items used, etc. This will be useful if you’d like to see what the heck that crazy weapon was that was doing so much damage!!

The benefits of using a Battle Report and linking to the Players and NFTs used (Weapons, Items, Battlefields) is threefold.

  1. You can try to find something similar on the marketplace or make the owner an offer they can’t refuse!

  2. You want to tag the player as being a GREAT player, and help their gaming reputation score.**

  3. You want to look back at the results for bragging rights to the Boss Owner or your fellow combatants.

Battle Loot

If you achieved the Battle objectives (Kill the Boss, defeat opponent, etc) you may receive LOOT. If so, you will see a treasure chest screen, and every party member will share in the spoils. The quality of loot found will be affected by Superpass Luck and MultiPass Guilds.

Loot can include items, credits, potions, spell words, scrolls, NFTs, or even tokens!

In Paid Tournaments, Loot will include the payout for the Tournament Winners!

Match XP and Player Results

Every player who participated in the match at least a little will get a wrap-up message with their stats and rewards attached. Players get XP for match objective completion, boss kills, damage done. Their weapons also get XP for damage done. Their armor will get XP for damage deferred. Their wands, staffs, or superpasses will get XP for spells successfully cast.

Bosses

When a Boss Battle starts up on a Discord Server, a boss is randomly chosen from the NFTs activated on Scribe that are Level 75 and up. The Scribe NFTs like Superpasses, Multipasses, LootShop weapons, and Battlefields are Excluded from the boss list.

Here is an example of a player-owned NFT which is eligible to be used as a Boss in-game, as seen on Scribe:

Boss Stats

Scribe NFTs can all be given Nicknames. If your NFT has a nickname, that will be its name in Conquest.

The Boss’s health in-game is scaled based on its level and the Challenge Rating the game is using. Each Boss also gets 2 weapons. One which is their Primary weapon, and one which is their Secondary weapon. The Boss owner will be able to set those weapons** from their personal LootShop stash, as they get XP during every battle just like a normal player’s weapons do. Each LootShop weapon can only be assigned to one Boss at a time.

When Discord servers all over the world run Conquest, your NFT may be chosen as a Boss. When that happens, all the work you put into leveling it up and outfitting it with proper weapons becomes worthwhile.

If you are the Boss owner, you will get a DM from Scribe on Discord that your Boss is being used somewhere in a battle. This will give you the opportunity to go jump into that battle and FIGHT as your Boss NFT. You will be able to perform your own special attacks, target specific players, taunt them, and more!**

After the match begins, when players use the Shop to buy items for the Battle while fighting your Boss, you will receive a share of the revenue instantly to your Polygon wallet.

Battlefields

Player-owned Conquest Battlefields are used in Discord Conquest (as well as the web version)

Battlefield Properties

Each Battlefield can have XP and Levels, and be given a Nickname.

Battlefields can have an associated Element with it, which impacts the gameplay in a major way. When an element is present on a Battlefield, LootShop weapons with that Element will be given a major damage increase.

Battlefield Upgrades

As Battlefields level up, they will be able to unlock other abilities, like running shops or having additional rooms, traps, bosses, RPG elements.

For example, if your Battlefield has multiple areas, it can be used to link to other Battlefields, or rooms the players can immediately go to once a battle is complete. In these rooms you can have other Bosses or Minions players can battle, increasing their time on your Battlefield.

The more time players spend on your Battlefield, the more XP and Credits your Battlefield will earn, and the more money you will earn from Shop Revenue.

Battlefield Shops

As your Battlefield levels up, you can add more types, quantity, and variety of items in your shops for players to purchase. You will receive a share of the Shop Revenue from all purchases made by players playing on your Battlefield.

Battlefield Servers

While normally every Battlefield runs in random selection, you will be free to host your own Battlefields or have your community host its own Battlefield as a way to drive revenue for the community. You will be able to configure the set of Battlefields the community runs in its Discord if they have a Community Level of 4+

Shop Revenue

Shops which exist on Battlefields will use a smart contract to perform player purchases using $MATIC token or $USD. This is important as it avoids the logistics of revenue share payouts.

For purchases made with $MATIC, the shop transaction will be sent to the smart contract, along with the Battlefield ID and the Boss ID. At the completion of the transaction, the revenue share alloted for the Battlefield Owner and the Boss Owner will be immediately sent to their Polygon wallet.

Be sure to have a Polygon wallet address associated with Scribe. We may also require KYC to enable this feature for you.

Each Battlefield will have a full Shop dashboard you can use to see transactions and performance of your Battlefield!

Superpass and MultiPass in Conquest

The Scribe NFT collections "Superpass" and "MultiPass" are supported by Discord Conquest, whether minted on ETH or Polygon. You can find links to the mint pages here:

Polygon: Superpass

Polygon: MultiPass

ETH: Superpass Genesis

ETH: MultiPass

Superpass in Discord Conquest

Superpass, being a Metaverse Artifact built to be used in any game, has quite an impact on Discord Conquest. Aside from the expected XP Boost:

  • The Power trait affects your attack, heal, and casting actions.

  • Heal trait gives you extra health and can even regenerate health if high enough**

  • Speed affects the number of actions you can take each turn

  • Luck affects all kinds of things including hits, critical hits, rogue skills, and treasure found

  • XP naturally affects the amount of XP that is given to you

  • Diamonds (leadership) affect the abilities of those around you

Upgrading your Superpass

The stats of your Superpass can be upgraded in Scribe. You get a free random upgrade every 10 levels after Level 50, or can spend Credits to upgrade it. Every stat score or diamond counts as a “point”, and the more “points” your Superpass has, the more expensive it is to upgrade. A Maxed Out Superpass is very valuable indeed due to the powerful impact it gives you in supporting games.

MultiPass in Discord Conquest

MultiPass NFTs have large number of Perks and Utilities, and therefore have a powerful effect on Discord Conquest as well, provided primarily by the Guild Trait. Each different Guild can have small bonuses it can convey on things like speed, attacking, defending, critical hits, causing confusion, sneaking around, stealing, finding traps, casting, healing, finding treasure, maximizing damage, etc.

Some guilds will also be better at finding certain kinds of Battlefields to play on!

Mobile Discord Conquest

The game works equally as well on mobile Discord as it does on the full Desktop version! The main difference is that the thread containing all the live game stat information can’t be seen at the same time as the main game window. It is played entirely in the Discord App using many advanced features, so should be playable all over the world on any device which runs Discord!

Earning $ with Discord Conquest

If you're interested in how the combination of Battlefields, LootShop weapons, Bosses, Superpasses and MultiPasses create an incredible opportunity, read this section. If not, see you on the Battlefield!

We are incredibly excited about the potential of Conquest. The capability Scribe provides for players to earn money with their NFTs from any collection is unique and meaningful. What drives this?

  • Onboarding is Easier than in most web3 games

  • Desire to Win or Compete is Powerful

  • Group Activity increases the desire to complete a game objective

Consider some facts about Discord, the Gaming Industry, and the Web3 space:

  1. There are 6.7 Million active servers on Discord. Though many are not gaming or web3-related, a large number of them enjoy Discord Games.

  2. Discord Conquest is playable on any Discord, anywhere in the world, with no installation.

  3. There are almost 200 million Monthly Active Users on Discord, with an average age 25-34 (42.4%), 65.5% male, 34.5% female

  4. Some Discord Servers in the Gaming Space contain upwards of 600k users.

  5. Discord Conquest can support up to 45 players onscreen at a time.

  6. Most battles take 5-10 minutes, and are easy to jump into at any time for casual play.

  7. Upgraded Battlefields can keep player attention longer as they go from room to room in dungeon-clearing or story mode.

  8. MultiPass Holders can level up their PFP-style NFTs on Scribe and they automatically become bosses at Level 75.

  9. Battlefield Holders can host shops of varying level and price tiers.

  10. NFT Collectors do not typically get the opportunity to earn anything unless staking is involved.

With only a certain number of Battlefields available, player or community-owned Battlefields will get played somewhere in the world 24/7. Every battle that takes places increases the opportunity for Shop Use, which drives earnings for the Battlefield Owners and Boss Owners.

Your Battlefields and Boss NFTs (and the weapons they use) will be out earning XP and Revenue all day long.

If you agree with the above facts, it's not hard to see that normal small purchases made will add up. If a small percentage of servers generate $10 a day in Shop Revenue, Battlefield owners and Boss owners will be quite pleased.
